Serious links between Obesity and Dementia

A study has said that middle-age spread can lead to dementia. The research of almost 500 people, which watched them for over 20 years, found that "fat people" were far more likely to have failing memories than those that kept a good healthy weight.

The Alzheimer's peril was caused by insulin resistance - and this is one of the main causes of Type 2 Diabetes. Obesity and the lack of exercise can fuel it. Previous studies have concluded that the Brain is vulnerable to the effects.

Professor David Tanne, who led the study at Israel's University of Tel Aviv, reported that people who keep fit and watch what they eat, reap "cognitive benefits" in later life.
"Exercising, maintaining a balanced diet, and watching your weight will prevent insulin resistance.; As a result, you protect your brain."

HMHB is constantly promoting the healthier lifestyle. Countless research all indicates it gives your the best chance of a better life. Naturally, the responsibility and choice is down to the individual.
