Is it best to avoid a lie-in?

Image result for healthy routine

It may be tempting to stay in bed when you do not have to get up for work, but it will not do your body clock any good.

"Don't lie in on days off", says Dr Anish Bahra, consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. "Migraines used to be referred to as weekend headaches because they would often hit on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Changing your sleep pattern has a dramatic effect on the hormones in your hypothalamus that can trigger headaches which, along with any caffeine withdrawal, is enough to ruin your day."

However, other studies have said it can improve your day - if you are tired then carry on sleeping.
