High Street coffees as strong as 5 Red Bulls!!

Image result for too much caffeine quotes

A media investigation has discovered that coffees at the biggest chains can contain as much as five cans of red bull. Starbucks, Costa and Caffe Nero are all selling drinks with more caffeine than adults should have in one go. Some drinks contain almost the entire recommended daily limit!!

The government recommendation for adults is that they should have no more than 400mg of caffeine over the course of the day, and no more than 200mg at any one time.

But, using certain drinks as an example;
Starbucks' Venti Filter Coffee has 387mg of caffeine, the same as 12 cans of Coca-Cola or nearly five cans of Red Bull.
Costs's large 'massimo' americano or cappuccino contains 370mg.
Caffe Nero's largest 'grande' americano has three shots of expresso - which is approximately 240mg of caffeine.

Too much caffeine can cause problems with anxiety, with sleep, and heart palpitations. It has been known for people to actually die from caffeine overdoses, although the media report was clear that there was no history of this from drinking at any of these establishments (I am sure the lawyers were involved with that statement. lol)

Starbucks does publish the caffeine content of its drinks online. Costa and Caffe Nero do not. The information was instead published by a website called ""Caffeine Informer".
