We all should love going our for a walk. Getting outdoors is great for your mental health. But does the time we walk have any effect. Wee according to latest research, it does. Morning walks are said to boost your brain power for the rest of the day.

A study by the University of Western Australia, led by Michael Wheeler, said that men and women aged 55 to 80 had improved performance over an eight-hour day after morning physical activity.  And when the same group then added three minute walks during the day, it boosted their short term memory.

Michael said: "relatively simple changes to your daily routine could have a significant benefit to your cognitive health."

HMHB is all about improving your daily physical activity, so this study is great evidence that we are doing the right thing. We have our walks initiative that we are looking to expand. And the mental side of bringing people together for a walk is also terrific.
